Joel Schroeder, M.D. is licensed to practice medicine by the KS State Board of Healing Arts and by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and did a residency program in emergency medicine at Truman Medical Center. Dr. Schroeder has practiced as an emergency medicine physician for over 30 years with experience in treating trauma, head and neck injuries, motor vehicle accidents, falls and other acute medical conditions. Dr. Schroeder is originally from St. Louis, MO and has lived in the Kansas City area since 1982. As the clinic’s Supervising Physician and medical director, Dr. Schroeder will be involved in the management of each patient at Comprehensive Concussion Care.
Tim Kalkman, PA-C, CIC is a Physician Assistant Board certified in Kansas and Missouri and by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He completed a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in 2003 and worked at Baker University for several years as the Head Athletic Trainer. Mr. Kalkman further completed a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Missouri State University in 2008 and has worked in the fields of emergency medicine, orthopedics and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Recently, he completed training and passed the Certified ImPACT© Consultant examination to offer advanced care as a Concussion Specialist.
